Clients Choose Us Because We Offer:
A Recent Example
One example was a new gas range install where the previous installer skipped the anti-tip bracket and used the wrong connector. When replacing the existing appliance, we used a new flexible gas connector for safety and compliance. We made sure the gas connector nuts were properly tightened on both ends to ensure a secure, leak-free connection. The range shifted when the oven door opened, and the flames were unstable. We corrected the fittings, anchored the stove.

Common Brands We Work With
Pre-Installation Requirements
Before we install a gas stove, it's important to make sure your kitchen is ready for a safe and efficient installation process. Check if you have an existing gas connection or if a new gas line needs to be installed. This is important if you are switching from an electric range to gas.
Proper preparation helps prevent issues and ensures your new gas stove is installed safely and correctly.
Our Gas Range Installation Process
Installing a gas range involves several critical steps to ensure safety and proper function. First, before connecting or disconnecting the appliance, always turn off the gas valve by turning the shut-off valve 90 degrees. We assess your existing gas supply to confirm the line is properly sized and that the shut-off valve is safe and accessible.
A new flexible corrugated gas connector (typically 1/2″ I.D.) is required for installation and should never be reused. Only certified flexible connectors and gas-rated tape should be used for gas appliance installations. The specific connector type needed will depend on your range model and must be long enough to connect the range to the gas valve without kinks. We use a drying gas connector as part of the flexible connection setup.
We wrap the gas valve threads with yellow Teflon tape (or Teflon tape designed for gas connections) two times in a clockwise motion. Teflon tape should only be used on gas valve threads, never on LP gas piping or tubing.
We attach the gas connector or gas tube to the gas valve port by removing the end cap and screwing the tube into place, ensuring the tube is straight and free of kinks. The street elbow is secured to the gas port on the range, and the free end of the street elbow is connected to the free end of the gas connector or tube using only certified end connector fittings.
The gas connector nuts on both sides are tightened to the connector fittings using two adjustable wrenches, one for tightening and one for backup support. We install approved fittings and secure the appliance using the required anti-tip device.
After all connections are made, we turn the gas back on and inspect the connector joint for gas leaks by spraying with a gas leak detector or soapy water solution. If bubbles appear, we immediately turn off the gas and recommend contacting a professional. Always check for leaks when installing a new gas range, as gas leaks can be fatal. Remove all flame or spark sources before working with gas.
Once no leaks are detected, we slide the range into the cutout space with the help of another person and check the alignment using the leveling feet. A gas range installation typically requires at least two people and the appropriate tools. Finally, we perform full leak and function testing, review the setup with you, and answer any questions so you feel confident using your new appliance.
Safety, Code and Compliance
Gas appliances are extremely safe when installed correctly. In many jurisdictions, installation of a gas range must be performed by a licensed professional to comply with building codes and safety regulations. Problems usually happen when shortcuts are taken or when unlicensed installers are involved. We follow current gas code, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices. For electric ranges, required electrical circuits and grounding connections must be properly configured to ensure safety and compliance. Every job ends with proper testing, not guesswork.
Why Professional Installation Matters
Gas systems are efficient and dependable, but only when installed properly. Poor workmanship can lead to leaks, carbon monoxide risk, fire hazards, appliance malfunction, and voided warranties. We frequently get called in to correct unsafe DIY work. For complex or safety-critical tasks such as connecting gas lines or handling electrical wiring, homeowners should always seek installation assistance from a licensed professional. Hiring a licensed professional from the start is always the right choice.
Benefits of Cooking with Gas
Homeowners often choose gas because it delivers instant heat response, precise temperature control, and reliable performance. Many models can also operate during power outages, which adds peace of mind. Once people switch to gas, they rarely want to cook on anything else.
Common Issues We Fix During Installation
We correct these issues before they become hazards.
Range Installation Costs
The cost to install a gas or electric range can vary based on several factors, including the type of appliance, the complexity of the installation, and whether you need to upgrade your existing gas line or electrical system. We provide an upfront quote before doing any of the work.
Additional expenses may include materials such as connector fittings, a new gas line, or a dedicated electrical outlet. To get an accurate estimate tailored to your specific needs, it's wise to consult with a professional installer who can assess your kitchen and provide transparent pricing. Investing in professional installation ensures your appliance is set up safely and in compliance with local codes.
Range Safety Features
Modern gas and electric stoves come equipped with a variety of safety features designed to protect your home and family. For gas stoves, a shut off valve is essential for quickly stopping the gas supply in case of emergency, while a gas leak detector provides early warning of any potential gas leaks. The anti-tip bracket is another critical safety device, preventing the stove from tipping forward and causing injury or damage.
Routine maintenance, such as cleaning the stove and inspecting gas connections, helps keep your appliance running safely. When installing a new stove, always ensure it meets current safety standards and that all safety features, including the anti-tip bracket and shut-off valve, are properly installed.
Range Accessories
The right range accessories can make your stove safer, more efficient, and easier to use. A gas leak detector is a must-have for any kitchen with a gas line, providing an extra layer of protection against gas leaks. Flexible gas lines and connector fittings are essential for a secure and reliable connection during stove installation, and a stove installation kit can simplify the process by including all the necessary components.
Consider adding a range hood or vent to improve air quality by removing cooking fumes, and a stove guard or backguard to protect your walls from splatters. Investing in quality accessories and proper installation helps ensure your gas or electric range operates safely and efficiently for years to come.
